Straight Talk AT&T Sim card APN updated 12/10/13

I have been using straight talk for over two years. Recently my internet and MMS stopped working, and shortly thereafter, I found out the APN had changed. They changed from att.mvno to tfdata. This pertains to old straight talk sim cards that used att.mvno for APN. The settings will work on the old and the new LTE enabled ST AT&T compatible Sim cards, not T-Mobile. For android and and for iPhone, but APN Type is not needing on iPhone.

New Straight Talk AT&T sim card Settings:

NAME: Straight Talk
APN: tfdata
PORT: 80
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS PROXY: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT: 80
APN Type: default,mms,supl,agps,fota,dun,hipri,entitle

If you own the old ST AT&T sim, and the att.mvno still works ,please let me know.

If this post helped you or if anyone would like to donate, this will help to bring more of these help posts, I currently don't have my Straight Talk Line active, since it's too expensive to pay for  two phone lines. If enough money is donated, I can test more Services and Flagship Smartphones on  Ting and Straight Talk(T-Mobile and AT&T Sims again). Also I will be able to update the settings as they change. Thanks guys!

    1. What Messaging app are you using? Hangouts should work well with the above settings. Sometimes Third party messaging apps need to be configure within the app's settings for MMS.

    1. You might have to revert back to the stock software on your phone. Or delete the app and enter the above apn settings manually.

    1. I'm pretty sure you have rebooted your phone after entering the settings. Is the Note an ATT phone? that would rule out the 3G band requirements. As a last resort, I would return the phone back to stock, meaning unroot. It seems like you have the right settings. I just found out that MMS does require a bit of data, and having 3G on, would help get those MMS messages.

    1. Go in the HUB, Menu (with three dots, Bottom right corner), Text Messages, up top chose MMS, advance ,scroll to the bottom and you will see MMSC settings. try these settings below. I currently don't have a have my straight talk active, so I can't test these.

      MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
      MMS PROXY: mms3.tracfone.com:80

  27. If you get internet (cellular data) with the APN set to att.mvno, you may be using the old straight talk sim card. is there any way you can connect with google hangouts or on twitter for quicker responses? later.

    1. is it an old sim card like one to two years old? I have noticed that the settings you mention work with the newer 4G LTE sim cards. That could be the problem.
