Straight Talk AT&T Sim card APN updated 12/10/13
I have been using straight talk for over two years. Recently my internet and MMS stopped working, and shortly thereafter, I found out the APN had changed. They changed from att.mvno to tfdata. This pertains to old straight talk sim cards that used att.mvno for APN. The settings will work on the old and the new LTE enabled ST AT&T compatible Sim cards, not T-Mobile. For android and and for iPhone, but APN Type is not needing on iPhone.
New Straight Talk AT&T sim card Settings:
NAME: Straight Talk
APN: tfdata
PORT: 80
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS PROXY: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT: 80
APN Type: default,mms,supl,agps,fota,dun,hipri,entitle
New Straight Talk AT&T sim card Settings:
NAME: Straight Talk
APN: tfdata
PORT: 80
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS PROXY: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT: 80
APN Type: default,mms,supl,agps,fota,dun,hipri,entitle
If you own the old ST AT&T sim, and the att.mvno still works ,please let me know.

If this post helped you or if anyone would like to donate, this will help to bring more of these help posts, I currently don't have my Straight Talk Line active, since it's too expensive to pay for two phone lines. If enough money is donated, I can test more Services and Flagship Smartphones on Ting and Straight Talk(T-Mobile and AT&T Sims again). Also I will be able to update the settings as they change. Thanks guys!
Thank you, you are a life saver. Works perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteHello, I have a note 1 and I bought the Huawei windows phone from straighttalk a few months ago and it comes with a sim card in it from straighttalk. it is blue on the back. I would like to change to the note one using the sim that was already in the Huawei I purchased from straighttalk. would you happen to know if these settings will work or if the sim will work??? This stupid Huawei will not download square or tango and I have to have both for my business. Can you let meknow what you think and maybe these settings will work. Thanks for your help in advance.... erinrivera0113@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteYes, you can. Use the above settings and report back. Thanks
DeleteI tried this and now internet and stuff works, but I still can't get mms. :( Any suggestions? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhat Messaging app are you using? Hangouts should work well with the above settings. Sometimes Third party messaging apps need to be configure within the app's settings for MMS.
DeleteHi, I just want to say Thank You VERY MUCH!!!! but I do want to address something. When I put the above settings in my Note3, the data works but the MMS did not work. I found that for the MMS to work, I had to include this in
ReplyDelete"Multimedia message proxy: 66.209.11.33
Multimedia message port : 80"
I have a Galaxy s3 have all the above settings but still can't receive MMS picture messages
ReplyDeleteTry adding

iv got a note 3 with the new "LTE at&t sims card" fron ST. my phone runs off of 850,900.1800,1900mhz which is 3g.. runs android 4.3. i was on the phone with ST for 3 hours with no avail i hung up because they seemed like idiots giving me the run around. iv put in evey apn setting iv found on google. nothing has made 3g come on. currently im using APN:tfdata MMSC:http://mms-tf.net MMS PROXY: mms3.tracfone.com MMS PORT: 80..... i can send mms, cant recieve them, service is stuck on edge.. please help im out of ideas and places to look..
ReplyDeletealso my phone is rooted.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you have rebooted your phone after entering the settings. Is the Note an ATT phone? that would rule out the 3G band requirements. As a last resort, I would return the phone back to stock, meaning unroot. It seems like you have the right settings. I just found out that MMS does require a bit of data, and having 3G on, would help get those MMS messages.
DeleteJust purchased a Samsung Note on ebay for my husband and he is using an old Straight Talk sim. Used the att.mvno setting and after restarting the phone the internet is connected.Multimedia message proxy: 66.209.11.33. Thx for your Help.
ReplyDeleteWould recommend this site to anyone!!
Are these new settings still okay to use with a Blackberry Z-10?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much worked great with my T-Mobile note 2
ReplyDeletehi i have a blackberry z10 and my calling and texting works but my mms dont...do you know how to fix this?
ReplyDeleteGo in the HUB, Menu (with three dots, Bottom right corner), Text Messages, up top chose MMS, advance ,scroll to the bottom and you will see MMSC settings. try these settings below. I currently don't have a have my straight talk active, so I can't test these.
DeleteMMSC: http://mms-tf.net

srry took a sec to respond was busy but do i put the apn in as att.mvno or tfdata
Deletei put those settings in an is still doin the same thing says H by the signal bars an still cant send mms
Deletemake sure to hit save at the bottom when you enter the above settings. The APN should be tfdata, and LTE should be working. Do you get internet with tfdata set as an APN?
Deletei seen on another cln blog that sense their is not a place to put the port number to put a : then the port after but he didnt say what your supposed to put in everything else i tried the att.mvno with the above settings an still wouldnt send mms also tried it with the tfdata and it still didnt work...if you have any idea what im doin wrong to help me fix this id be forever grearful...thank you

Deletewhen i changed the phone apn the H turned to a small h said the apn wasnt verified also i dont have net now...under the available networks it says h-voice only and when i use the att.mvno it says H-voice/data and i had calling txting and net jus cant send mms msgs
ReplyDeleteso the leave the APN: att.mvno (so you get texting, calling with data)
Deleteand input
MMSC:http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS PROXY: 66.209.11.33:80
ok i swithched everything back and changed the mmsc an proxy an its still running off home network but i have net jus no mms msgs can be received or sent
ReplyDeleteIf you get internet (cellular data) with the APN set to att.mvno, you may be using the old straight talk sim card. is there any way you can connect with google hangouts or on twitter for quicker responses? later.
ReplyDeleteI do have the old sim have had it for about 2 yrs and I don't have those just facebook
ReplyDeletei started a google hangout my email is jaxson0603@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteI have the apn as tfdata, the mms as http://mms-tf.net and the proxy as mms3.tracfone.com:80
ReplyDeleteI still can't get mms to work... what am i doing wrong?
is it an old sim card like one to two years old? I have noticed that the settings you mention work with the newer 4G LTE sim cards. That could be the problem.
