Nexus 5 Top notch Hardware & Great Price! Review
Once the Nexus 5 was announced, I almost immediately put my order in. Counted the days until that small box arrived at my doorstep. The Nexus 5 has been one of the most leaked and talk about devices in the second half of 2013. It was first leaked at the Android 4.4 unveiling shown below.
The update also fixes issues with the camera, and the sound has cleaned up.
I received my Nexus 5 on 11/5/2013, and right away I made my daily driver as it took the place of my Blackberry Z10. This will be a brief review of the device and will be updated when something significant catches my attention. Every Review I post on this blog will start with The Bad followed the by The Good and a Conclusion. This goes for any Gear, Apps and/or device I review. Here we go!

The Bad
- Battery is OK, Keep a charger nearby though. Medium to light use gets about 7-10 hours.
- Loud Speaker issues, Low muffled sound with apps like google music, but Youtube app gets better sound. Android Central posted that Google is working on a fix for this problem (. Not a huge issue, since I use headphones anyway.
The update also fixes issues with the camera, and the sound has cleaned up.
The Good
For the Price you get amazing hardware and software. Android 4.4 KitKat has been awesome, maybe one or two apps have foreclosed, but those were dated and did not have 4.4 compatibility. Google Now, is better than ever with Home screen integration. Sure the battery and camera are not up to par with high end devices, but the Positives make up for it. This is my First Android powered phone in Two years. The Software has made leaps since then. I recommend this Device to anyone with a budget or not, Google's Flagship is here and better than ever. I will continue to add this Review. Thanks
- The Price is not just Good, It's Awesome. Price is set at 349 for 16GBor 399 for 32GB. I chose the 32 GB
- Ever growing ecosystem with all the major apps. Minion Rush gets update a day after iphone version does. Facebook messenger's Chat Head feature is way better on android and is not limited to only work within the app.
- Great 5" inch display 445,a snappy Qualcom Snapdragon 800 processor, Slim port, 8MP camera shooter with image stabilization , are all upgrades from the Nexus 4 and standard on flagship devices like HTC, LG, Samsung.
- Supports all LTE bands from ATT,Tmobile, and Sprint. You can try all three with this phone since it's unlocked.
